100 women 100 stories
an international women's Day celebration
coming to the bass coast in March, 2025
We are excited to be bringing 100 Women. 100 Stories to the Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre on March 14-16th.

Thank you for your interest, the response from the Bass Coast Community has been overwhelming and we have well and registrations have now closed for our 100 women, but if you know a young singer between 8 & 14, we'd love to have her in our girls choir! The girls will join the women for a few songs, it's so lovely to have 8 year olds all the way up to 80 on stage together.
100 Women. 100 Stories. is a song cycle of new music written by Australian female composers and inspired by interviews with women from across the country.
Over one weekend we will gather a hundred women from the local community and sing sixty minutes of new music. Even if you have little or no music background, our team of experienced conductors will make sure you feel confident on the day.
"Before working with [The House that Dan Built], we were not singers, our voices akin to scratched records. Afterwards, we firmly believed that we could perform at the Sydney Opera House if they’d let us,and therein lies the power of this work. This collective act of creating harmony boosts confidence and self-esteem,giving women a strong voice both literally and figuratively, and the women in that room relished every moment."
