HARMONY IN AUSTRALIS
AUDIENCE INSTRUCTIONS:
Harmony in Australis’ invited performers to anagrammatically and harmonically rearrange a given text and musical motif to reveal alternate meaning and connections, playing with the absurdity of existing ideas, as well as exploring identity, hidden voices, and social values.
As an audience member, I invite you to cut out and reconstruct the text included in your box as you listen; what new ideas reveal themselves? Within limited constraints there is the power to step outside your existing perspective and observe a multitude of new meanings. I encourage you to close your eyes and listen closely to all the different voices in this work, and with each listening hear alternative texts and phrases emerge.

VERSE 1
Rolling hills,
And peaceful skies,
One half of the world in dark,
The other half in light.
There’s been some talk,
That we’re setting ourselves on fire
Seems like bullshit to me,
How could gas bring down an empire?
PRECHORUS
And if it all comes crashing down,
Like we said it would,
I wanted you to know,
We didn’t do all we could.
CHORUS
I hope that the blue skies,
were worth the grey.
Hope that the world ending,
Didn’t ruin your day.
Seemed crazy and nonchalant,
But it’s just the way it was.
I’m sorry that your world fell apart.
VERSE 2
Gotta tell the children of today,
Their world isn’t safe.
Gotta teach them how to love the planet
So they live past our age.
By the time they get their own house,
And are paying their own bills,
I hope that the world is better,
That they can sill see those green hills.
PRECHORUS
And when it all comes crashing down,
Like they said it would,I hope that you can see,I wish we did all we could.
CHORUS
I know that the blue skies weren’t worth the grey,
I know that the world ending,
Is something you’ll fight everyday.
Seems crazy and unfair,
And that’s just the way it is,
Im sorry that your world fell apart.
VERSE 3
I heard that a long, long time ago,
Grandaddy and grandmother,
Heard the world was burning,
But they thought it wouldn’t hurt em’
So they left us with a mop and bucket,
Wanting us to clean it up
It seems impossible to me.
PRECHORUS
And if it all comes crashing down,
Like you said it would,
Ill always know,
That I did all I could
CHORUS
I hope you know that the blue skies,
weren’t worth the grey,
And the condition of the world,
Always ruins my day
Seems crazy and depressing,
But it cant be the way it is,
I wont let my world fall apart

This EP, mainly the single track "HOLY LOVE" , is inspired by love in the purest form.
In our modern day with romanticism almost not around anymore, I was inspired by the frustration of modern relationships and claiming the love we deserve and the sovereignty of our sexuality.
Honouring our bodies and being open about what we want and the love we all deserve respectfully. An ode to the divine feminine, and an ode to holy love!

Her Connections is about a woman losing connection with herself. Social media and her perception of life stops her from listening to her body, soul, and mind. This isn’t a story of harm to love because women face different processes. Some simply forget and neglect can be just as harmful.
